Aspire Magazine Designer Show House
At the end of 2019, we joined ASPIRE DESIGN AND HOME Magazine, the Junior League of High Point, and 20 other top designers to restore the Dalton-Bell Cameron House as part of a JLHP benefit. My inspiration for this space was to create a comforting and cozy space for a family of 4 to connect and hang-out without the interruption of technology and the trappings of the outside world. Little could I have dreamed that all of us as of today would have taken refuge in our homes to the extent that we have now due to global circumstances.
My concept for this space has taken on an even deeper meaning as we look to carve out spaces within our homes to feel the safety of family, and create a new normal for our everyday existence. It is more important than ever to take a break from the outside world for small, or extended, periods of time so that we may create, restore ourselves, and re-connect in ways that we have not for a long time. May we always be mindful of those who are not as fortunate as we are in our blessings of home. I hope you will enjoy these images from the talented perspectives of photographers Amy Freeman and Alisha Schwanke, and may it inspire you to create that safe place of solace to share with your loved ones. #stayhome #weareallinthistogether
